The above appears on the cover to this small album of  ten official German postcards of the WW1 Turkish campaign against the Allies.

Each b/w postcard has Turkish writing at the top and German at the bottom. Someone has written in pencil a short English translation next to the German. The terseness of the English makes me wonder if it was not written by an ally!! For example, ,destroyed enemy ship English'.
